Advances In Optometry
Optometry is an important field, as optometrists are instrumental in diagnosing eye issues and prescribing many corrective treatments. Hundreds of millions of people wear or require corrective glasses or lenses, and millions upon millions more require the eye treatments and medications that the science of optometry provides. Optometry has made great strides in diagnosing and treating allergies that affect the eyes. These are not traditional pollen and dust allergies, but rather allergies that directly affect the eyeball and socket. Optometry has not only introduced new drugs that help alleviate the associated symptoms, but advances have also been made in preventing these allergies altogether.
